Sabrina Fry-May Chinese Holiday

                                                          

Since the vast majority of the Chinese people are not Christian, the main winter festival in China the Chinese New Year which takes place toward the end of January. Now officially called the "Spring Festival," it is a time when children receive new clothing, eat luxurious meals, receive new toys, and enjoy firecracker displays. An important aspect of the New Year celebration is the worship of ancestors. Portraits and paintings of ancestors are brought out and hung in the main room of the home.

Fingernails

Fingernails are amazing, you can pick locks with your nails. Your nails are also edible. But your fingernails are not the best part of your hand there really is no best part; your arm holds your hand, and your hand holds your fingers so your arm is just as important as your fingernails .Without out your fingers you can’t feed yourself you can’t drive to the hospital to get new fingers .you can’t do your homework. Keeping your fingernails clean is a good way to stay healthy. No one   want‘s  dirty hands your hands touch some pretty dirty things so why wouldn’t you want to keep them clean ?

My Wish

Once upon a time there was a girl named Dariella, she went ;outside and said to herself “I wish I can have my own land with candy, like the game Candy Land.” All of a sudden her house disappeared, it spinned away. Little purple lollipops came out of the ground, the clouds were replaced with cotton candy, the grass was also replaced with different flavored pixie sticks. Dariella was so shocked Her mom, dad, and brother was also shocked, but they had fun. There was a chocolate princess named Senetra, she had short beautiful hair, pink and purple nails with rhinestone attached, she was so nice to Dariella’s family that she let Dariella’s family stay there forever .

                                        Over the weekend that’s coming up

    Over the weekend that is coming up I am going to ask my mom if she can take me to a special place like to the wave pool if it is hot. But if it is not hot outside I would ask if we can go to the hotel so we can go indoor swimming so we will not be cold. So if my mom says yes I would ask her if I can have some friends to come with us to the hotel. All the people I would invite are Kourtney Manley, Kameriell, Jessie Dell, and my other cousin Eric all of my family members would come. We would just have fun at the pool I would bring a water football so we can play football in the water. That is what I am trying to do over the weekend that's coming up.

What I Will Do With One Thousand Dollars

If I had one thousand dollars I would either spend it on a new Chihuahua or a mansion. But, I doubt it. I would also give my mom and dad half of the money because they always take care of me and they never get anything back from me.
     If they did have that kind of money they would spend it on a beautiful and nice house. The money would also make them happy and make them feel good.

That is what I’ll do with one thousand dollars.

When I get home after school I will go over my friends and we will play their X360. After that, we will go outside and play basketball then we will go in the house and watch T.V. Then I will go to church. When I get home from church, I will change my clothes and go outside for a couple of hours.
After I come in, I will take a shower and then I will watch T.V. then i will go to bed. When I wake up, I will brush my teeth and wash my face. Then I will put my clothes on. After that, I will eat breakfast and go to the bus stop. That is what I will do within the next four days. I can’t wait ‘til tomorrow because

My First Game Room

One day I was just getting out of school and was on my way home. To my surprise I saw my dad loading our stuff in a moving van. I asked my dad if I could have the extra room so I could make my own game room he said sure why not. I had every game in the world from board games to electronic games. After we got settled in our new house we went out to get the stuff. First, we went to look at wallpaper. I decided to get the green wallpaper. The room was so huge it took lots of games to fill it. We went to every game store and bought them out. When we got back home we had the movers unload the games. I called it Ardray’s Place. If anyone tried to take any of the game systems my alarm system would notify me.

Little Maddy In New York
Little maddy always had a splendid life;maddy’s parents went to college and became a doctor and a vet. Maddy’s mom was the vet and her dad was the doctor, because of that maddy was spoiled and cried when she didn’t get what she wanted. Maddy’s room was customized; she had a flat screen TV. She got anything her little heart desired. Then one day her life changed forever, they moved to New York City, maddy was scared and frustrated that they moved, and where they moved to. Maddy’s family moved because her dad found a better job that would be better and would pay more money, the job was the same job as the last one but it was a better working area.  maddy liked the idea of more money so it didn’t bother her one bit. Until they got there, she was furious! She started stomping her feet and people began to stare so her mom had to force her inside their new house, her mom was embarrassed. Then she eventually became used to New York and was happy that they moved there.

               My dad is planning to buy a house with his new girlfriend who just happens to be my best friend Stephanie’s mom. When they finally find the right house they said stephanie and me could pick the room we wanted because we were sharing the room. When they said that it was like a light went off in me and Stephanie’s head of different ideas for our room.

               Stephanie and I started talking about our room and what it’s going to look like. So far we’ve agreed on two queen sized beds, a closet, a shelf for magazines, a real stop sign on the wall, posters all over, special shelf for our electronics, a Wii and a flat screen, the walls would be hot pink and the floor would be fur carpet.  

               So Stephanie and I have almost everything planned out. We are so excited to see how our room will look.

This weekend is?

Do you know what this weekend is? This weekend is Mother’s Day. Mother’s Day is a day that you show appreciation for your mother. A lot of people give their mom’s gifts or do things for them.

Mother’s Day is on a Sunday May, 13. I’m going to spend the whole weekend with my mom giving her gifts and helping her. I’m going to help her with the helping flashcards like cleaning. I can’t wait!

What are you doing for your mom? I’m making her breakfast,  And  making helping flashcards, a small party for her, giving her gifts like her favorite snacks and jewelry, and giving her home made cards. It’s going to be amazing! That’s what I’m doing this weekend with my mom.

My Dream Room

    If I could have no limit to what my room would look like I would color my walls red, and get a 3d TV with Comcast on it; and had all the premium channels. I would also have a ps3 a Xbox 360 with the most awesome games I would have granite floors and a patio  door . With a kids choice award trophy and a golf trophy with a all blue and red couch with custom made cup holders. The chairs that you can put your feet up on and had a healthy snack machine  and a gumball machine. With a aquarium tank with a electric eel and a mp3 player hooked up to a sound stereo. And if that could happen it would be my dream room.

Mother’s Day is Awesome

It was a cool, hot, boring day. Sometimes I really hate going to school but my mom says I need a good education. The only reason I hate being in high school is the school dances. Every time I go I am surrounded by a lot of people. I know I am popular in all but I do need need some alone time for myself. Soon we will be having a mother’s day dance. We would bring our mom and dance, sing, but mostly have fun. For me I knew something was going to go wrong.

           My life is full of luxurious things but my life is not always luxurious. I get whatever I want when I want it. That’s because I am the only child. My mom says there are still rules when you are 15 but I don’t think so. There is only one reason why I hate the school dances. That reason is every time there is school dance, everyone ask me about it. They ask me if I’m helping out with decorations, food, music, or anything else a dance would need. I know I am a great dance and party planner but I have to plan everything.

My mom usually makes a list of things we would need for the dance and hold a school board meeting to see who is buying what. My mom is a very nice person though. Everyone in the school call her by her last name, Mrs. Haywood, or mom. My mom is a founder to everything that goes on in Cleveland High. No one has anything against her because if you do everyone will think you are a bad person. When it comes to a secret crush my mom has a whole different attitude. Unlike other mothers she would think it’s sweet and then would judge him.

I do have a crush and his name Brandon Wilmore. He is the hottest guy in my class though he is a bit childish. He planned the dance since he is a momma’s boy. He is also cute, sweet, and funny.

“The dance will be held on Friday” Brandon announced.

    “ We are not going to have enough time because today is Wednesday” I said.

“ I know but Mother’s Day is on the 13th and I don’t want to have it next week.” He added “ I don’t want to celebrate it late”

“ That does make sense though so we will have to act fast.” I said happily.

We quickly left class after second bell. On Friday we had everything put up. It was beautiful thanks to me and Brandon and I. We were still waiting for the caterer to arrive with our food and drinks. The cake was going to be here at seven. Everything was ready and I was so excited. My mom told everyone to be there before eight so we could get a head count of all the moms there. She always had something extra for every occasion.

Everyone was excited for the dance but I was afraid of the snacks not being there on time. When it was time for the dance everything was perfect and everyone was happy. When I got home I was tired and sleepy from all the dancing. My mom was glad nothing everything went as planned

What I Do When I Get Home

         The things I do when I get home are I would usually make a quick snack like a sandwich. After I eat a snack I go to my room and do my homework. Once I get done with my homework I show it to my aunt so she can check it; and if I get something wrong she would make me redo it. When she is done checking it I walk to the park with my brothers so we could play baseball, kickball, soccer, and basketball. Then when we go home we eat dinner and take our baths. If it’s a school day we would get our clothes ready for the next day, but if not we would stay up and watch a movie until we feel like we are going to fall asleep. Then the next day I would normally do the same thing.

What I want to do this weekend

This weekend I want to go see my Grandma Sally and Grandma Jackie. We would go to Zap Zone by Kmart. Me and Grandma Sally would play laser tag. Grandma Jackie and I would play games. We would all have fun.

Where’d it Go?

               Where did I put that stupid thing? I couldn’t find my cell phone anywhere! I looked on my dresser, near the bed, on the computer desk, and just about every other place in the house! I was beginning to think that it was stolen. Someone at school could have taken it, my sister could have, or any of the neighbors. There are a lot of kids in this neighborhood who could be suspects.


               Whenever I brought the situation up to Mom, she just said that “I lost it, so don’t accuse people.” So, I decided to find it myself. I walked out of the door and looked around the sidewalk. I kept on getting weird looks from people because I kept on pacing back and forth. Finally, I gave up and went into my room.


               Then, I went back into the living room and spotted something under my dog’s bed. It was my phone. I couldn’t believe it! How could Blink, my Golden Lab, steal it? It didn’t matter. I had my phone back.
